Total Health Solution
You think the problem is you. It isn't.
What you call a lack of willpower or discipline, and wonder"why can't I just do this?"- the problem isn't any of those things. Your behavior makes sense. You just haven't been shown what it's trying to solve.

You're not someone who doesn't care about her health.
You care deeply. You've spent years trying to figure this out — reading, researching, hiring trainers, starting programs, following plans. You're educated. You're capable. You've succeeded at hard things in every other area of your life.
And still, every few weeks or months, something derails you. And every time it does, the story gets a little louder: I'm broken. I don't try hard enough. I should know better by now.
Here's what I know after working with hundreds of women in midlife: that story is wrong. Not kind of wrong. Completely wrong.
Your behavior isn't evidence of weakness. It's your brain solving a problem (a real one) with the best tool it has available right now. The bingeing, the skipped workouts, the 10pm kitchen, the all-or-nothing thinking that takes one bad day and turns it into a lost month: none of it is random. None of it is you failing.
It's a signal. And once you understand what it's pointing to, everything changes.
"I went into that call thinking I had a discipline problem.
I came out understanding I had a structure problem. Those are completely different things, and once you see it that way, you stop blaming yourself and start actually fixing it."
- Donna

Why Nothing Has Worked
Most of the advice out there for women in midlife assumes the problem is information. So it gives you more: more rules, more protocols, more things to track, more things to eliminate.
But you already know what to do. That's not the gap.
The gap is between knowing and doing. And that gap has a reason.
Your habits keep breaking down because they were built for ideal conditions. A calm week. A full night of sleep. A day where nobody needs anything from you. Those weeks exist, but they're not the ones that determine your results. The hard weeks are.
When your body is changing (and in perimenopause and menopause it is changing, in ways that shift your hunger, your energy, your sleep, your mood, your relationship with food) and nobody has helped you account for that in your plan, the plan breaks.
When you've spent decades putting everyone else first and calling it love, and you've never been given permission to matter in your own health equation, the habits break.
When every derailment becomes evidence that you're the problem instead of an opportunity to adjust, the cycle continues.
This isn't a motivation problem. It's a systems problem. And systems can be fixed.
"I've been telling myself for years that I'm lazy,
that I lack willpower, that I just don't care enough. She looked at the same information and told me none of that was true. I was trying to do a two-person life as one person. That's not laziness. That's just math or capacity."

The Total Health Solution
This is a 6-month, one-on-one coaching partnership for women in midlife who are done with the start-over cycle and ready to build something that actually holds.
We start with a comprehensive diagnostic — the Total Health Systems Audit — so that before we do anything else, we know exactly where your system is breaking down. Not what you think the problem is. What it actually is.
Then we build. Not a diet. Not a list of rules you white-knuckle through until something cracks. A real, personalized system — for your body, your life, your habits, your season.
Over six months, we go through three phases:
Phase 1: Diagnose and install.
We identify your specific breakdown points and install the skills and structures that make follow-through possible in your real life - not a hypothetically calm version of it.
Phase 2: Stress-proof it.
We rebuild your plan around actual disruption: bad weeks, travel, holidays, emotional overload, the nights when everything falls apart. Because a plan that only works when life is easy isn't a plan.
Phase 3: Make it yours.
We shift the work from "following a program" to "this is just how I take care of myself." You move from someone who tries to be healthy to someone who simply is. That's the identity shift. That's what makes the results last.
At key milestones along the way, you'll complete structured assessments so you can see exactly how far you've come: in your habits, your self-trust, your relationship with food, your body.
Progress you can measure, not just feel.

What Working Together Actually Looks Like
The Total Health Systems Audit
Before anything else, you get a comprehensive diagnostic of your entire health system: nutrition, movement, sleep, stress, hormones, habits, mindset, environment. This is the foundation. It's what makes everything that follows actually personalized instead of generic.
Weekly 1:1 coaching calls (50 minutes)
For the full six months. These are working sessions: we plan, you execute, we debrief. Not from judgment. From curiosity. This is the feedback loop that replaces perfectionism and builds consistency through adjustment rather than restart.

Written session summaries with your personal action steps
After every call, you get a clear, written recap: what we worked on, what you're practicing this week, and what to do if things go sideways before we talk again. Over time these become your personal manual.
Private client portal with targeted resources
Playbooks, tools, and knowledge base articles: assigned based on what you specifically need, when you need them. Not a library you're left to sort through alone.
Milestone assessments
At key points in the program, you'll complete structured assessments to measure real progress, not just how you feel, but what's actually changed in your habits, your relationship with food, and your follow-through.
Light between-session support
Email or voice note check-ins for real-life troubleshooting when something comes up between calls. This is what keeps a hard Thursday from becoming a lost month.
What Makes This Work
Most programs give you rules. Some give you accountability. A few give you community. What almost none of them do is figure out why your specific habits keep breaking down under your specific conditions — and build a system that accounts for that.
That's what this does.
The approach is built on a single premise: all behavior makes sense when you understand what problem it's solving. The nighttime eating, the skipped workouts, the all-or-nothing spiral — each of those behaviors is your brain offering a solution to something real. When we identify what the problem actually is, we can solve it intentionally, proactively, with tools that don't require willpower or perfect conditions.
That's why clients who've tried everything — including therapy — find that this produces something different. Not because the other things didn't matter, but because this addresses the part they couldn't reach on their own.
What you won't find here:
- Meal plans or food rules
- Punishing workouts or "clean eating"
- More information about what you should be doing
- Shame, pressure, or manufactured urgency
What you will find:
- A real explanation for why your habits keep breaking down
- A personalized system built for your actual life, not an ideal one
- Results that work in the messy weeks, not just the good ones
- A woman who trusts herself around food and her health — and keeps that trust when things get hard
What Working Together Actually Looks Like
This is a premium, high-touch program. I don't hide that - because the investment isn't just financial. It's your time, your energy, and the decision to prioritize yourself in a season where most women feel pulled in every other direction. The video below walks you through exactly how this works and what happens when you book a call.
There's no pressure on the call. No decision required on the spot. Just a real conversation about where you are, what you want, and whether this is the right fit.
You have Q's. I have A's:
"I've tried coaching before and it didn't work."
Most coaching either gives you more accountability (which helps when you're already on track, and collapses the moment you're not) or more information (which you already have). What's different here is the diagnosis first — we identify your specific system breakdowns before we build anything. What you get isn't a generic program. It's a system built for the conditions of your actual life.
"I don't have the time for this."
One of the first things we figure out together is what's actually realistic for your schedule right now — not a hypothetically calmer version of it. The program is built around the real week, including the impossible ones. Women who are busy are exactly who this was built for.
I've tried similar programs before and failed. How will this be different?
I focus on understanding your personal conditions, including hormonal health and lifestyle factors, to create a plan that truly works for you.
"I've failed at things like this before. Why would this be different?"
The programs weren't wrong because you couldn't follow them. They were wrong because they weren't built for your conditions - your hormones, your life load, your history with food, your season. We start by understanding those conditions. That's the difference.
"I'm not sure this is the right time."
There's never a calm season coming where this will be easier to start. The question isn't whether conditions will be perfect, it's whether you're ready to build a system that works in imperfect conditions. If you're not sure, let's talk. The free call is a conversation, not a commitment.
How do I know if this program is the right fit for me?
Book a free call to discuss your goals and challenges. I'll help you determine if this program aligns with your needs and aspirations.

About Elizabeth
I'm Elizabeth Sherman. I'm a 57-year-old Master Certified Life and Health Coach, and I've spent two decades working with women in midlife who are smart, capable, and quietly convinced that they're the one person this stuff won't work for.
I'm also the host of Total Health in Midlife, a podcast for women who are done being confused about how to feel good in the second half of their lives.
My turning point came when I was 33, sitting in a hospital room while my mother went through breast cancer treatment. I realized I'd been treating my health as an afterthought, and I needed to change that.
What followed was years of doing the wrong things very diligently — restriction, over-exercise, bingeing, restarting, shame. The cycle you know. And then my body changed in the way midlife bodies change, and everything I'd been leaning on stopped working without warning.
I started asking different questions. I stopped fighting my body and started trying to understand it. That shift is the foundation of everything I teach — and it's why I work the way I work.

Ready to Transform Your Health?
Here's how this starts.
You book a free call. We talk, just the two of us. You tell me what's been happening, what you've tried, what you actually want. I'll tell you honestly whether I think this program is the right fit for where you are right now.
If it is, I'll walk you through exactly what working together looks like. You'll have everything you need to make a clear decision, with no pressure in either direction.
If it's not the right fit, I'll tell you that too.
This is a conversation, not a pitch. You won't leave with a sales deck and a countdown timer. You'll leave with clarity - about what's been happening, and what your options are.
