Beyond Overeating
You know what to eat.
So why can’t you make it stop?
You’ve been here before.
Standing in the kitchen at night, not sure why you walked in.
The “just one bite” that turned into most of the bag.
The promise you made to yourself at midnight that dissolved by noon the next day.
And the part that makes it worse: you are not someone who struggles. You run things. You solve hard problems. You show up for everyone who needs you.
This is the one place where none of that seems to matter.

The Real Problem
And Why Diets Haven't Worked
Every time you go on a diet, you have to choose: eat differently than your family (and feel left out) or make everyone else change how they eat (and feel the tension). Neither option is exactly great for connection.
And biologically? Restriction sends your hunger hormones into overdrive, makes cravings louder, and teaches your body to fight against weight loss.
It’s no wonder you end up right back where you started.
Beyond Overeating isn’t about restricting your life to fit into a smaller body. It’s about creating habits that let you enjoy your favorite foods, connect with the people you love, and stop overeating because you’re actually satisfied - physically and emotionally.
“I now understand why diets didn’t work for me.
None of them ever included the emotional piece. That’s what I was missing. I’ve been in other programs, but this one actually stuck. I feel like I’ve made real changes.”
- Beverly, who dropped 8 lbs in 9 weeks and left Optavia behind
What Beyond Overeating actually is
Most programs give you one of two things: rules about what to eat, or philosophy about listening to your body.
Neither one works for long, because neither one addresses what’s actually driving the overeating.
Beyond Overeating sits in a different place entirely. It’s 90 days of small-group coaching that teaches you the behavioral and emotional skills that make lasting change possible. Not a plan you follow. Skills you actually own.
You’ll learn to decode what your body is telling you. You’ll learn what’s underneath the nighttime eating, the stress eating, the “I’ve already blown it” spiral. You’ll learn how to recover from a hard week without starting over.
And you’ll do all of it without eating differently from your family or giving up a single food you love.

Who this program is for
This program is for you if:
- You know exactly what you “should” be doing and can’t make yourself do it consistently
- Nights and weekends reliably undo whatever progress you made during the week
- You’ve tried diets, programs, apps — and they work until they don’t
- Stress, boredom, or a hard day reliably sends you to the kitchen
- You’re in perimenopause or menopause and your body feels like it’s rewriting the rules
- You want to eat the same food as your family without it derailing you
This program is not for you if you’re looking for a meal plan, a macro tracker, or a diet with a new name. This is skills work. It requires showing up and doing the internal practice.
Why this works when everything else hasn’t
Here’s the honest version: diets work by giving you rules. When the rules break down — and they always do, on a Wednesday, at a party, after a terrible day — you’re left with nothing. So you start over Monday.
Intuitive eating points you toward your body’s signals, but if you’ve spent decades overriding those signals, “just listen to your body” isn’t an instruction you can actually follow. Not without help building the skill.
Beyond Overeating sits in what I call the skills zone: the place between “follow these rules” and “trust yourself.” We build the skills that make self-trust possible.

Diets
- Gives you rules to follow.
- Works until life gets messy.
- Leaves you with nothing when the rules break down.
- Requires eating differently from your family.
- Ignores emotions entirely.
- Doesn’t address hormones.

Beyond Overeating
- All foods welcome — no rules
- Built for real life, hard weeks, holidays, and travel
- Eat the same food as your family
- Emotional tools at the core
- Perimenopause-aware
“Chris lost 18 lbs during the program —
and then kept going, losing over 80 lbs total. She learned to enjoy her favorite foods in moderation. Something she thought was impossible before.”
— Chris, 57
What the 9 weeks look like
Beyond Overeating runs in three phases. Each one builds on the last.

Phase 1: Understand Why(Weeks 1–3)
Before we change anything, we get clear on what’s actually happening. You’ll learn the science behind why overeating is so persistent — and why it has nothing to do with discipline or willpower. You’ll reconnect with your hunger and fullness signals. You’ll start to see the patterns that have been running on autopilot.
What you’ll build:
- The biological reframe: why your brain is wired this way and why that’s not a character flaw
- The hunger and satisfaction scale: a real-time tool for knowing when to eat and when to stop
- Awareness of your specific patterns: when, why, and what’s underneath
Phase 2: Build the Skills(Weeks 4–6)
This is where the real work happens. You’ll learn the emotional and behavioral skills that replace overeating as your go-to coping mechanism. Not because eating is bad, but because you’ll have better options.
What you’ll build:
- The Think-Feel-Act Cycle: a CBT-based framework for catching and redirecting the thoughts that drive the spiral
- Urge management: how to let a craving pass without fighting it or feeding it
- The decompression menu: a real list of what actually helps when stress hits, so food isn’t your only option
- Stress and emotional eating patterns: named, mapped, and interrupted
Phase 3: Make It Yours (Weeks 7–9)
You’ll learn how to stay consistent when life is messy — travel, holidays, hard weeks, special occasions. You’ll build a reset plan for after overeating that doesn’t involve shame or starting over. And you’ll leave with a personal playbook that works for your actual life.
What you’ll build:
- A messy-life plan: what “good enough” looks like on a hard week, so you never have to start over
- The reset plan: a clear, no-shame process for recovering from overeating without a spiral
- Planned exceptions: how to enjoy the birthday cake, the vacation, the dinner out — without it becoming an excuse to abandon yourself
- Your personal playbook: a customized system you own for good
What’s included
- Weekly Live Group Coaching Calls: 60-minute cohort calls every week where you get real-time coaching, not just content. You bring your actual week and we work through it together.
- Private Online Resource Center (Lifetime Access) The full curriculum: workshops, workbooks, guided somatic meditations, and all three bonus Playbooks (Travel, Weekend Eating, Sugar Reset). Yours to keep.
- Weekly Preview & Deepen Emails Every week, a short email that tells you exactly what to focus on so you’re not overwhelmed. One skill. One week. One step forward.
- Cohort Call Replays Miss a call? Life happens. Every session is recorded so you never fall behind.
- A Small Group That Actually Knows & 'Gets' You The cohorts are intentionally small. You’re not anonymous. The women in this group will know your actual life, your actual struggles, and they’ll be there when Wednesday falls apart.
“I stopped white-knuckling and actually started trusting myself again.
Six months in, I’ve lost 18 pounds — but that’s almost secondary to what really changed. I can go to a party, enjoy wine and appetizers, and not spiral. I can travel without abandoning myself. And when I have a tough week, I don’t panic that I’m ‘back to square one.’ My brain is finally quiet about food.”
— Sarah, 52
What actually changes
Here’s what women describe at the end of 90 days:
- Chocolate in the pantry that isn’t calling your name.
- Dinner out with your family where you enjoy every bite and stop when you’re done — without thinking about it.
- A hard week at work that doesn’t end in the kitchen.
- Holidays you actually enjoy instead of white-knuckling through.
- A brain that is finally quiet about food.
- Clothes that fit more comfortably. Energy that holds through the afternoon. The feeling of being like yourself again.

About Elizabeth
I'm Elizabeth Sherman.
I’m a Master Certified Life and Health Coach, and I work specifically with women in midlife who are exhausted by the start-over cycle.
I know this place from the inside. For years, I kept cookies out of the house entirely because I didn’t trust myself around them. I made rules for what my partner could bring home. I either had to eat it all or keep it out of reach — there was no middle ground.
It took me 18 months of trial and error to figure out what was actually happening, and what to do about it.
What I discovered changed everything: overeating isn’t a food problem. It’s a skills problem. Once I learned to work with my brain instead of white-knuckling against it, the food noise got quiet. I can keep cookies in the house now. I can enjoy dessert without a spiral. My partner eats what he likes and it doesn’t throw me off.
That freedom is what this program is built to give you. Not in 18 months. In 9 weeks.

You have Q's. I have A's:
I’ve tried a lot of programs. Why would this one be different?
Because this one addresses what the others didn’t. Most programs are built around compliance — follow the rules and you get results. But if rules worked for you long-term, you wouldn’t be here. Beyond Overeating is built around skill-building. When you have the skills, the rules become irrelevant.
I’m not sure I have time for another commitment.
The time commitment is 60 minutes a week for the group call, plus 15–30 minutes of practice during the week. That’s it. And unlike a diet that requires daily planning, tracking, and mental overhead, this program is designed to reduce the cognitive load around food — not add to it.
What if it doesn’t work for me?
If you show up for the calls, engage with the curriculum, and do the practice — and you don’t feel you’ve made meaningful progress in your relationship with food by the end of 90 days — I’ll give you an additional month of private support at no charge. I’m invested in your success.
What about perimenopause? My body feels completely different.
This program is built specifically for women in midlife. The hormonal shifts of perimenopause and menopause change your hunger signals, your cravings, your sleep, and your emotional baseline. We work with that reality, not around it. The skills in this program are designed for the body you have now.
I'm not sure this is the right time.
There's never a calm season coming where this will be easier to start. The question isn't whether conditions will be perfect, it's whether you're ready to build a system that works in imperfect conditions. If you're not sure, let's talk. The free call is a conversation, not a commitment.
