Dear Client,

So far 2008 has been an amazing year! Total Health by Elizabeth is growing so that we can provide you with more services and products that will help you reach and attain the healthy lifestyle you strive to achieve.

The first makeover you'll notice is the website. Although it has the same comfortable look and feel, we've added some new services, combined our services to create packaged bundles, and now approach health not just as a trainer, but as an educator (notice my title change).

All of these changes make Total Health by Elizabeth complete the vision I had when I changed careers & entered Health & Fitness. It allows me to focus on the health of my client; not just her fitness.

Best Wishes,

Elizabeth Sherman

large bodybugg v2 w/strap As Seen on TV

I'll try not to let it go to my head. I was interviewed by the Austin news last week about this great new fitness tool, the Bodybugg. The story also aired across Texas, in Las Vegas and Topeka too.

The bodybugg is the latest technology tool to help folks manage their weight. It's a device that you wear on your arm, and with the help of 4 sensors, measures the number of calories you burn in a day.

When you upload your armband data to the accompanying website, it shows you exactly when you burned your most calories & when you could have been a bit more active. It's completely motivating! For the first 3 weeks that I wore mine, my house was SPOTLESS!

The other piece of the web application is the ability to log your food. Just by simply telling the application what you ate, it totals the calories & lets you know if you're on track (or over budget).

Since weight loss is simply calories in versus calories out, meaning that you want to consume fewer calories than you're burning, it's as effortless as managing your target deficit.

Weight loss is no longer difficult. The Bodybugg makes it simple!

Healthy Woman Wellness for Everyone

Since Total Health is not just about exercising, in January Wellness Coaching was added to our list of services. Wellness Coaching's foundation is in helping clients define, reach, and attain their goals.

Wellness Coaching covers the five areas of physical health: Activity, Nutrition, Stress, Sleep, and Smoking Cessation. What I really like about it is that when setting your goals, you're setting your goals: Not the goals of the coach, your doctor, or spouse. No, they're your goals. And since you are the one who has to do them on a regular basis, doesn't that make sense?

In areas where you might feel stuck about how to get from where you are to where you want to go, the coach can provide the support, suggestions, tips & techniques, and guidelines in order to power through those roadblocks. You'll be unstoppable.

So let me ask you: 2008 is half over. If you set goals or New Year's Resolutions for 2008, how are you doing with them?

Perspective:
To Be or Not To Be ... Vegetarian

Wanting to leave the world in a better place than I received it is how I started in the health field. At the time, I interpreted that as a duty to serve my fellow humans by spreading the message of wellness to all.

Nowadays with so much attention to being earth-friendly, I try to incorporate 'green' practices into my own life as much as I can.  I try not to waste gasoline; I turn off the lights & fans when I leave a room; I recycle; I eat local foods when they're available to me, and definitely stay away from produce shipped in from South America when the same US produce is sitting in the next bin over at the store.

But now I'm starting to turn my attentions to other areas of my diet: protein.
